Passion for fashion! Mimi's Boutique 2nd Annual fashion show.

Passion for fashion!
People love to get glam, and a festive event is as good as any to pull out your best duds. Sunday February 17, 2013 was no different as the red carpet rolled out for the Haitian/American community to support one of their own young entrepreneurs by the name of Merline “Mimi”Thermora who is also the owner of MIMI’s Boutique for the 2nd annual Mimi’s Boutique fashion show.
The newly renovated Moca cafe lounge was the chosen venue for this illustrious fashion night. With it’s relaxed atmosphere and décor wonderful cuisine and inventive cocktails, it was a great spot for this night of fashion. Although the actual show was running a little late doors were still open promptly at 7:00pm which allowed patrons to come in and mingle, have a refreshing beverage and h’orsdoeuvres  in a friendly warm inviting environment, for it was a cold night in south Florida.  As the room filled up with photographers anticipating the great looks, supporters, consumers, and sponsors the room was full of energy with great musical selection by one of the #1 DJ’s in south Florida Manny Mix which kept the crowd moving to great sounds. While waiting for the show to begin there were neither awkward silence nor a minutes to ponder about lateness for you see you had the chance to visit one of the many vendors that were there showcasing their different talents. Whether your passion was shoes, handbags, accessories just to name a few, there was a little something for everyone to admire and lots of vendors to speak to; and even purchase from.
Let the show begin. As hostess Tica asked the audience to take their seats for the ones that had seating available to them, the fashion show promptly begun.  Designer La belle Couture took to the runway with many vibrant pieces that had everyone in aww of the fashion trends. Following was the super hot super sexy line of swimwear by Lovely Lynn designs which were designed for all body shapes and sizes.  Let’s turn it up a notch with designer Le Tron Divo turning the house ablaze with their funky eccentric pieces there wasn’t a low heart rate in the house for everyone was out of their chair and clapping to this eclectic designer interpretation to fashion.  Promptly followed by designer Kat Klan, that kept the same heart beat going with her lovely designs and creations.
As the room calmed down from the beautiful models walking the runway and the pulsating music by the DJ Manny mix, it was time to relax the crowd for the second half which is exactly what was done with one of the Haitian industries internationally well known artist Reginald Cange of Zenglen who provided the crowd with an unplugged musical performance. Followed by the “SOLEY” dancers
A short intermission…
As we all take our seats again for the “pier de la resistance” MIMI’S BOUTIQUE presentation. The models from Mimi’s boutique started showcasing the new pieces from her online store. The many different lady like apparel  to choose from were to die for; from savvy  mini skirts and blouses,  jumpers and dresses not to mention the very vibrant colors such as yellows , blues, purples  and oranges. One might say she gave many ideas on how to appreciate the effortless way to mix and match the different trends. Because lets face it we’ve all know how to dress. Our sense of style is usually passed down from generations to generation whether its mothers to daughters, fathers to sons, sisters to cousins you never really need a lot of pieces just the right ones. Which is exactly what Mimis boutique provides at a very affordable price.
An impromptu performance by the community own poet Makendal Prosper-Sylvain accompanied by the sultry sound of Reginald’s guitar was one performance not to be missed before the last look by designer Effis Art.
In the end we all know, that almost every weekend in south Florida is a celebratory night. Someone somewhere is always celebrating something important in their life whether it’s a new venture, or something   personal it’s a celebration. And as we know the fashion world is a very unforgiving No matter who you are, in this industry we all like to look our best and wear the best when it comes to fashion. So Sunday night as we all came together to celebrate this young  women’s passion for fashion she provided us with different options for different outing whether you were going from the boardroom, to the church, to play. The fact that it can be done at an affordable price made it absolutely superb. Exactly what Mimi’s Boutique provided to her patrons that night “Affordable Fashion for All”.

Good review but the owner of Mimi's boutique or management is selfish because the flyer never mentioned other designers and all who made this event possible. She made it all about her and quit frankly her items werent all that. Her website had the same items for 8 months

detailed review. Some sponsor names were missing which could be an issue. By far, Moonkaii's table was the best one there in my view as I got my fill to go from Djenane. Kudos to all presents, it was an amazing night!!!!
